The AYHC Leadership awards recognize individuals who best exemplify outstanding leadership to young people within the horse industry. Strong leadership for young horsemen today helps ensure a vital horse industry in the future. Any adult or teen who volunteers time and effort to the youth horse industry is a potential candidate for these awards.
Each year we recognize a Youth Leader of the Year (an adult leader or volunteer of a youth equine program) and a Student Leader of the Year (age 14-19). The awards are announced at the annual AYHC Symposium each year. The deadline for nominations is November 15.
The AYHC Leader of the Year award recognizes individuals who work with youth and horses. This top leader introduces newcomers to the horse industry, mentors young horsemen, and promotes the horse industry within the local community. They accomplish these goals in fun and innovative ways.
