AYHC Now Accepting Donations for Online Auction

The American Youth Horse Council is hosting an online auction to support the AYHC Grant Program. You can contribute to this fundraiser by donating an item or a collection of items for a basket.

Our theme for this auction is AYHC Across the Nation – so we would love to see items donated that represent your state or region – especially nonperishable food, artwork, jewelry, clothing, etc. This might be a great way to support a local small business by purchasing an item to donate!

We will accept donations through June 5, please use this link to upload the details for your donation (including an item title, description, fair market value, suggested starting bid and picture). Please do not send items to the AYHC office. You will be responsible for shipping your donated items to the winning bidder no later than June 30 (auction will close on June 18), so keep that in mind when you are deciding what to donate! Frozen food or heavy items might not be the easiest or most cost effective to ship to the winning bidder.

About the AYHC Grant Program:

The primary intent of AYHC’s grant program is to assist groups and help provide training to volunteer leaders, which will enrich the horse experiences of our youth. A secondary goal of this grant program is to provide assistance to high impact activities which promote or fulfill the mission of AYHC with direct service to youth that promotes the youth horse industry. Here are a few programs we have supported in recent years.

· Texas 4-H Horse Ambassador Program

· Wakulla County Horseman’s Association and 4-H Bits N Bridles Safety Equipment

· Wrangler Riding Club Summer Horse Camp

· Oklahoma State University Horse Science Academy

· Circle C Equestrian Center Riding Instructor Continuing Education Day

"Each year the American Youth Horse Council selects worthy recipient(s) within the Horse Industry that directly involve youth and youth leaders from across the country. The goal is to provide funding to help educate youth about horses through various programs that are developed by Universities, Equine Organizations, 4-H and Extension, Riding Stables and other equine programs. Collaboration is encouraged among these types of groups and it is exciting to see all the possibilities that are made available through the AYHC Grant program." said Connie Jehlik, AYHC Grant Committee Chairperson

Feel free to share with your friends! Our goal is to support the youth equine industry by providing funding for educational programming. Donors and bidders don’t have to be AYHC members, everyone is welcome to join in the fun!
