New Disease Information Hub created to support horse health and well-being
AMARILLO, TEXAS — The American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) and Zoetis announced the launch of the AQHA Disease Information Hub, powered by Zoetis. The Disease Information Hub offers AQHA members and Quarter Horse enthusiasts extensive resources to support the health and well-being of the American Quarter Horse.
“The AQHA is excited to team up with Zoetis to bring this valuable resource to American Quarter Horse owners to help them protect their horses from potentially deadly equine diseases,” said John Lutz, AQHA. “Especially with many of our members traveling across the country participating in events, disease risks are a real threat to their horses’ health.”
The Disease Information Hub features educational tools and articles to help horse owners protect their horses against potentially deadly equine diseases, including the five core and risk-based equine diseases. In addition, horse owners can find information for annual vaccination, parasite control, dental exams, nutrition and biosecurity.
“Zoetis is proud to be an Official Equine Health Care Partner of the American Quarter Horse Association, and pleased to provide innovative health solutions, backed by a team of experienced, knowledgeable professionals with a passion for horses,” said Jeannie Jeffery, vice president of the Zoetis U.S. equine business. “We understand the serious consequences of equine disease, along with the powerful connection between horses and their owners that compels us to take responsibility for their health and well-being.”
