About the Speaker:

Dr. Billy Zanolini is an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist for Youth Livestock and Agriculture with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. He was raised in Northern California and left for Texas in 2001 to attend Texas Tech University. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the Department of Animal and Food Sciences. Zanolini later completed a Ph.D. in Agricultural Education from Texas A&M University. His career began in the Rolling Plains of Texas as a County Extension Agent. He proudly served as a County Extension Agent in two different counties for 7 years prior to accepting his current position. Dr. Zanolini guides students in identifying and pursuing their academic and professional passions. He thoughtfully constructs learning experiences highlighting challenge, curiosity, perseverance, and leadership. Billy is committed to building the student’s capacity to find her/his voice and advocate for matters of importance. Thus, illuminating educational pathways to higher education while developing students professionally.
