The Oh Baby! webinar will walk you through what to expect in the foaling process and provide some practical guidelines for once that foal has arrived. Topics include  preparations for parturition, predicting foaling and the foaling process, on-farm colostrum evaluation, and care of the newborn foal. Join us to help put your mind at ease for what's to come!

About our Speakers:

Dr. Chelsie Huseman is an Assistant Professor and Extension Horse Specialist in the Department of Animal Science. Dr. Huseman serves the state of Texas by disseminating equine education across the state for both adults and youth. She conducts numerous seminars, short courses, and a variety of other educational programs. Dr. Huseman conducts research and has interests in areas of skeletal adaptation to exercise and equine reproduction management. Her most recent work includes testing whole body vibration and its effect on the skeleton and new technologies for semen analysis. Dr. Huseman currently resides in College Station, TX with her husband and enjoys time spent raising their one year old son Caleb with horses and cattle.

Dr. Jennifer Zoller is an Assistant Professor and Extension Horse Specialist for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension stationed in College Station. She provides statewide leadership for planning, implementing, conducting and evaluating Extension education programs in equine sciences for both adult and youth audiences. She also assists County Extension Agents and Program Area Committee members to effectively meet the needs of stakeholders and clientele. As an Extension horse specialist Zoller gives leadership to several programs including the State 4-H Horse Show, Texas Horse Help mobile application, and various horse judging competitions across the state. Dr. Zoller’s research interests include energy balance and manipulating body condition of the exercising horse to maximize nutrition programs, and the health benefits of participating in equine activities.

Dr. Huseman and Zoller conduct the highly acclaimed annual Texas A&M Equine Reproductive Management Short Course, a course designed for owners and breeding managers who want to learn the most efficient methods for ensuring the success of their breeding programs.
