Learn about and share what is happening in the youth horse industry, through workshops, roundtable discussions, classroom presentations, live horse demonstrations, and lots of networking! Internationally and nationally respected teachers and clinicians will share their keys to successful youth horse programming. Presentations will be tailored for Adult Leaders of Youth Horse Programs, Industry Professionals and Student Leaders. In addition to the education in the Symposium, the event includes a silent auction, awards banquet and keynote speeches with meals. This year a Horse Smarts Roundup contest will be included in the youth track with $500 of prize money for the winners. Two pre-conference tours of the area's premier horse industry operations and farms will give participants the rare opportunity to experience why Virginia is for Horse Lovers. The non-breed / discipline specific curriculum offers equine knowledge that transfers from the book to the barn, providing take-home tools to teach youth about safe and effective horsemanship.
